#2 Blog Assignment

Personally I feel like Rudy from "The Rudy Elmenhurst Story" and the Chancellor from "The Obsolete Man" help me understand more about Post Modernism and Modernism. Rudy is clearly a Post Modern character whereas the Chancellor is strictly Modern. The Chancellor believes in the absolute truth that the state is all powerful and the highest authority. In a post modern approach there would be many points of views and no one absolute truth. Rudy is clearly post modern because there is clearly a lack of conscience on his part and in post modernism there is no difference between right and wrong. He is only after one thing with Yolanda: Sex. And at the end when she turns him down again (out of self-respect) he carries on without any consequences for his actions. This two characters could not be more different and I don't really like either one, but they do make it easier for me to understand the many differences between the "two ways of thinking."
